Picket Fences Divorce Recovery for Christian Women's Vision:
'Gods vision for Picket Fences' November 12th, 2007
In 2000 I started a little yahoo group of Christian women called Picket Fences. Its hard to believe that there was not many divorce recovery workshops around, let alone ones for women only. So I just started my own little fellowship/support group. No big deal, right? WRONG! It was clear, about 6 mos into it, that this little chat group was a ministry. Ladies were thanking me and grateful...of course God was in it all the way. He finally gave me a vision, on what He wanted for Picket fences.
I am in year 7 of a 10 year plan. This year we hope to have our tax exempt status and I am writing our own materials. One day, Picket fences home fellowship groups across the country. Getting church sponsors and being financially equipped to help out divorced Moms who struggle financially with the rent, or clothing for the children for school and Christmas.
During the past 7 years, the enemy has been doing everything he can to stop this ministry. My oldest son died at age 25 unexpectedly, 4 years ago! Depression over took me for some time. My back is bad and my dad passed away this Jan, so I am busy with my Mom, who grieves the love of her life. They were married for 54 years!
God is the VICTOR and I won't succumb to the wiles of the devil when there is so much work to be done. The Lord, truly is my shepherd!
