Well, since the last we've heard from maCmoses, a lot has changed! After being misdiagnosed for 4 years, he recently underwent surgery to remove a bone pressing against his spinal column which was interfering with the continuous flow of his spinal fluid disabling him, and limiting his mobility. Now with the Help of Christ, he is improving daily and has a goal to walk by January 2008! Through it all, he is deeply in love and committed to The LORD, family, friends, and people in general. As he battles to regain complete wholeness, he continues to grow each day learning who he is in Christ, accepting his temporary limitations while striving to overcome them, and regardless of satan's tactics, not letting fear run or control his life. However, one more thing has changed; the long-awaited release of his sophomore effort 'From Israel to D.C.' is finally available.
With this project, the artist picks up right where he left off with 2005's 'A New Path'. He continues to inspire the listener with uplifting, GOD-conscious lyrics which penetrate the heart of every nationality; those of 'the faith' and those still searching for truth, purpose, and the knowledge that can only be attained through a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST!
The title of maCmoses' latest opus is derived from the truth that the Gospel of Christ, first delivered to the Jews, has spread throughout the globe; landing in the heart of a man born and raised in the Capitol city of Washington, D.C.
This project consists of 13 tracks of Inspirational Hip Hop focusing on the Teachings & Healing Power of Jesus Christ. If you love Hip Hop, but have grown weary of much of today's destructive lyrics, this album is designed specifically for your listening pleasure.

Well, first and foremost I am Influenced by GOD THE FATHER & by THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! I love to read the Bible. There is no other book like it! Take the time to prayerfully read it and it will literally change your life. I also am just learning the joy and importance of reading. I love to read positive self-help books as well as great Christian books. I am also influenced by my parents. They've put up with me all these years (lol) and I love them dearly. I believe no man is an island, and we are all influenced in some way or another by those we come in contact with throughout life. As far as musical influences, I grew up in the 80's so ofcourse Hip Hop had a profound influence on me. These range from KRS-ONE to Lauryn Hill. I listen to more underground Hip Hop these days, because I'm weary of much of today's destructive lyrics. I am so thrilled that you were able to get a 2nd opinion on your inflammation of the spinal cord, and that it wasn't what the doctors orginally thought. It's also wonderful news to hear that you went in for physical therapy and that your legs are starting to feel a bit better! What an awesome praise report.
